kaimana is a private, local agentic assistant using state-of-the-art open-source large language models. It is developed at the Laboratory of Computational Medicine, University of California, San Francisco. kaimana provides:

• A secure & private assistant (a.k.a. chatbot) that can be used with sensitive and confidential data.
• API access to the underlying models and data.
• A growing vector database curated for biomedical research, biostatistics, and machine learning, a.k.a. health data science.
